The RST DSTAR repeaters are configured such that the B Modules (UHF repeaters) are normally connected to REF009C. They can be changed, but will reconnect to REF009C after 15 minutes of inactivity.
The C Modules (VHF repeaters) are normally configured to be connected to REF030C. The C Modules are scheduled to automatically switch to the reflectors shown in the DSTAR Net Schedule table. If the VHF repeaters are being used for anything by the local users, they will automatically disconnect and reconnect to their scheduled reflector. The user may have to manually reconnect them to where they were being used. The schedule can be adjusted to use the repeaeters for special and public service events.
Users are encourages to use the DSTAR system and reconnect the repeaters to whatever reflector they want. Before unlinking the gateway, check to make sure there is no one using the repeater at the time by changing the "UR" field to "Local CQ", and making a call to see if any local users are using the repeater. The "Local CQ" will prevent your audio from going out over the gateway so only local users will hear you. Remember to return the "UR" field to "USE REPEATER" or USE REFLECTOR" if you want your audio to go through the gateway. Keep in mind that if you change the gateway connection, it will reconnect after 15 minutes of inactivy.
Callsign routing is also encouraged. Callsign routing is a powerful way to let the system find the station you are trying to contact. However, please unlink the reflector before using callsign routing. Failure to unlink the reflector will result in your transmitted audio also going out to the reflector and your audio will be sent both to the reflector and the last place the station you are calling was heard. This will create a lot of confusion. Unlinking the reflector will prevent that confusion and help us be courteous operators.
If you have questions about the system or how to operate DSTAR, please contact David, AC7DS. He is usually listening to the system. Try both VHF and UHF.

The RST Fusion repeaters are connected to the internet using Yaesu FTM-100 and not the standard WIRES-X (HRI-200) box. All of the WIRES-X functionality is still available. The Fusion repeaters are not connected to the YSF network. There are some rooms that will cross connect YSF to WIRES-X. RST operates two Fusion repeaters (See the RST Repeater Page for details). Generally, these repeaters are connected to Americas Link or Texas Nexus rooms.
This table is a list of nets that members have found interesting. The repeaters do not automatically reconnect for the nets. It is up to the user to reconnect the repeaters to the different rooms for the different nets.
